The location is perfect, with easy access to charming shops, restaurants, ferry, and a peaceful part of Italy. the downstairs lounge area is very close to the communal areas. - the breakfast offers a good choice of dishes to choose from.

Nice comfy base for 2 nights with incredibly helpful and professional staff from Paulo through to the chambermaids. Convenient location for visiting restaurants and bars. Again, not far from Menaggio.

The hotel has a very central location with a beautiful garden overlooking the lake. The proximity to communal areas is convenient. The rooms and bathrooms are wonderful. I enjoyed the opportunity to spend 9 days in a historic setting. Rewritten Review: I loved that the hotel's central location offered stunning views of the lake from the garden. Our twin room was really clean and had a great view. We loved that this place was so close to all the restaurants and Varenna. Plus, it was a perfect spot to explore the beautiful Lake Como villas 🌿.

Great hotel all round. Staff were very friendly, they were very responsive to all our demands/ questions, and the pool was top class. One suggestion- Internet access in the rooms would be ideal. We are planning a return visit as our trip was very successful.

Free parking, excellent location in Menaggio. The concierge booked us a table at a restaurant we knew of and called us a taxi. Hire boat service out front (I assume affiliated with the hotel) very helpful and good value.

We chose an attic room on price, it was a bit tired and the pillows were hard. I assume other rooms are more luxurious...

The food prepared by the hotel chef for dinner was superb, and the wait staff was excellent; we were treated like royalty. It was the ultimate in dining. The clerks at the desk were most helpful. The main floor of the hotel was beautiful and luxurious, and the location had to be the best in Menaggio! Beautiful views of Lake Como were to be had if you rented on the front side of the hotel, and if they haze ever lifted from the lake (which didn't happen the three days we were there). Perhaps one of the biggest pluses was their parking---ample and easy to get in and out of!

Though the rooms were clean, they were somewhat mediocre. They were small and dated (some stains on the carpeting and cracks in the bathroom tile). We could not find the two English-speaking channels that were said to be available (BBC and CNN), and the TV was no bigger than a computer monitor. There is no internet service in the rooms; one must go to the lobby. The breakfast buffet was tasty, but average, especially when considering the price. This all being said, we would probably stay there again because of positives listed above.
